To abridge, shorten, or abbreviate

Minsheu, 1599 (Spanish-English)

  • Abreviár = to abridge, to cut short, to draw intoa briefe course.
    * Abreviádo [m.] = abridged, shortened, drawen into a briefe methode or note, cut off short.
  • Abreviadúra or Abbreviatúra [f.] = an abridgement, a cutting off short of the matter, a drawing of it into a short course.
