Muslo. s.m. La parte de la pierna del animal, desde el quadríl hasta la rodilla. Covarr. dice se llamó Muslo, porque su carne tiene muchos músculos. Lat. Femur, orts. Femen, inis. Valverd. Anat. lib.1. cap.26 De la rodilla de dentro nacen las cuerdas del sexto y séptimo morcillo, que mueven el muslo. Marian. Hist. Esp. lib.2. cap.9. Passaronle el muslo con una lanza, que el arrojaron desde el adarbe.

Thigh. s.m. The part of the animal’s leg, from the quadril to the knee. Covarr. says that it is called Muslo, because its meat has a lot of muscles. Lat. Femur, orts. Femen, inis. Valverd. Anat. lib.1. cap.26. From the inside of the knee originate the cuerdas of the sixth and seventh morcillo, that move the thigh. Marian. Hist. Esp. lib.2. cap.9. Passaronle the thigh with a lance, that he arrojaron from the adarbe.
